FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cutting and may be used for production of gear wheels. Proposed method is implemented by cup-like tool at gear billet rolling over generating tooth wheel. Lines of symmetry of generating contours that form gear wheel teeth convex and concave sides are located at an angle to symmetry axis of generating wheel socket to cross generating wheel axis. Tool rotational axis is located parallel with generating wheel socket symmetry axis to cross the generating wheel socket at right angle. Teeth of dual wheel are formed at rolling the billet over generating rack with tooth profile complying that of generating wheel socket kinematic pitch surface touches generating wheel pitch cylinder.
EFFECT: expanded performances due to localised engaged tooth contact area.
