FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method exploits reception of glare re-reflections of continuous laser radar radiation dissipated by missile body by sea surface. Glare re-reflection signals are processed by four-sector photo receiver operated in heterodyne (coherent) mode. Received glare re-reflections are summed over each of four equal-sized spatial zones of sea surface. Output signals of said four-sector photo receivers are filtered by wideband filters and subjected to spectrum-time conversion by dispersion ultrasound delay lines and heterodyning of initial wideband signals. Responses of dispersion ultrasound delay lines are used to generate control signals by scanning laser radar over angular coordinates, that is, by azimuth and elevation angle. Besides, that signals are summed up to used resultant signal for detection of low-altitude cruise missile.
EFFECT: missile autotracking by angular coordinates.
