FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, traumatology, and can be used to predict deep necroses associated with severe upper limb frostbites. Therefor temperature-sensitive elements are established in a projection of each of five hand beams as follows: nail bone, finger base, distal transverse fold of palm, middle ball of thumb and distal transverse fold of hand. Every hour skin temperature of injured palmar surface is recorded. In case a distal negative temperature gradient exceeding 6°C is observed within the first days after cold injury between the adjacent points within one hand beam, and gradient point temperature does not exceed an ambient temperature, high possibility of necrosis of hand beam is predicted with a demarcation line in points between which the specified gradient is found.
EFFECT: early prediction of deep necroses in severe upper limb frostbites, necrosis analysing for topical localisations of necrosis border within one hand segment.
