DRIVE SYSTEM FOR ELECTRIC TOOTHBRUSHES AND SIMILAR Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC A61C17/34

Abstract RU 2353331 C2

FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions is related to the field of medicine and may be used for teeth cleaning. Drive system for motion feeding to treating device comprises a head, an engine, a cam, a control element, a rotary element and a wire shaft. Head comprises treating tool, which is arranged with the possibility of motion separate from head and has treating elements. Engine comprises rotary shaft. Cam is rotated around axis of rotation by means of engine shaft and has external surface with path in the form of closed loop arranged as eccentric relative to axis of rotation. Head of treating device is located at the distance from the cam. Control element has a control slot that fully passes through it. Rotary element is located between the control element and the head of treating device. Rotary element has a through hole, and head of treating device has drive joint fixed to treating tool and installed in direction to rotary element. Drive shaft has longitudinal axis, drive end and driven end, at that drive end is freely installed in cam path, drive shaft passes through control slot and through hole in rotary element, and driven end is functionally fixed to drive joint of device head to provide for displacement of treating tool independently on head in response to drive shaft displacement. Longitudinal axis of drive shaft differs from cam axis of rotation and is locates at the angle to it, and control slot controls by means of drive shaft displacement, therefore, cam rotation results in displacement of drive end in cam path in compliance with location of drive shaft in control slot during rotary displacement of drive shaft via rotary element, when drive end is displaced in cam path, at that drive shaft is displaced with sliding in control slot for transfer of rotary motion of drive shaft to drive end and drive joint for displacement of treating tool. Drive system is also presented for motion feeding to treating tool on treating device.

EFFECT: new type of drive system for electric toothbrushes.
