FIELD: physics; nuclear fuel.

SUBSTANCE: method includes preparation of protoxide-oxide with burnable absorber, preparation of moulding powder, pressing, sintering and polishing. At the stage of protoxide-oxide preparation with burnable absorber, raw materials used are both rejected sintered pellets and polishing dust with any content of absorber in pellets that differs from the rated value. At the stage of moulding powder preparation, produced protoxide-oxide is added to charge in amount of up to 20 wt %, at that rated content of burnable absorber is achieved in pellets by means of variation of additives number in protoxide-oxide charge depending on absorber content in it.

EFFECT: size and shape of pores in sintered pellets are controlled, uniform porosity is provided in pellet volume with possibility to simultaneously control level of pellets additional sintering.
