FIELD: mechanics.
SUBSTANCE: invention covers self-configuring multi-element portable electronic device (100) and method. The proposed device comprises at least first electronic element (104) and second electronic element (106) and connector assembly (112) to interconnect aforesaid elements. The said connector assembly allows the first electronic element to move in more than one plane relative to the second electronic element. Note here that the element can self-configure the operating conditions subject to the relative position of the second electronic element. The first casing has first clamping element (1406) that can get hooked up with second clamping element (1408) of the second casing. The proposed method comprises the stages of detecting the relative position of the first electronic element relative to the second one and selecting the operating conditions subject to the device relative position.
EFFECT: perfection of portable electronic devices, expanding their performances.
