FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: input and output apparatus for a portable electronic communication device has a basic element, a user interface for inputting information and a user interface for outputting information. The user interface for outputting information is extended along mutually perpendicular longitudinal and transverse axes of the apparatus. The user interface for inputting information has a standard keyboard (QWERTY), which is extended in parallel to the longitudinal axis. The apparatus is adapted to provide a first configuration, wherein the user interface for inputting information lies between the basic element and the user interface for outputting information, and a second configuration, wherein the user interfaces for inputting and outputting information are alternately shifted in opposite directions from the basic element.
EFFECT: providing simple and efficient use of user interfaces in different operating modes and smaller dimensions of the portable electronic communication device.
