FIELD: pharmacology.

SUBSTANCE: claimed invention relates to field of pharmacology, as well as to field of therapeutic application of hormones in substitutive hormonal therapy of men and male contraception. Claimed composition for intramuscular injection contains testosterone ester, which is selected from group of esters, including linear and branched nonanoates, decanoates, undecanoates, dodecanoates, tridecanoates, tetradecanoates and pentadecanoates; and carrier, containing castor oil in 25-45 vol.% concentration and co-solvent. After intramuscular injection composition ensures reliable physiologically acceptable levels of testosterone in serum during long period of time. This allows to apply them in substitutive hormonal therapy and male contraception without carrying out accompanying monitoring of testosterone levels in serum by attending doctor. Also described is pharmaceutical composition containing 100 mg of testosterone undecanatoate in carrier medium, which consists of castor oil and benzyl benzoate with ratio 1:1.7 of volume.

EFFECT: use of castor oil in composition in said amount ensures obtaining product with sufficient stability, i.e. expiration date.
