FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the method and device designed to position bead cores in assembling radial tire carcasses at the first stage of tire assembly machine. The machine has a widening carcass drum with cylindrical outer edges, two bellow-type supports with bellows and two core mount devices. The cores are moved along the carcass drum axial direction. The core mount devices receive the cores on one side of the carcass drum. One of the said device transfers the received core to the other side of the drum. The cores are positioned on circular core centering devices on one side of the aforesaid drum, the said variable-diametre cores being arranged nearby each other. The bead core is gripped by one core mount device to be transferred to the other side of shifted carcass drum. Note that during carcass assembly, the tires stay in the WAIT position. The second core mount device receives the core from the other core centering device. Finally both cores are fitted on the tire carcass with the help of core mount device.
EFFECT: shortened core mount cycle.
