Cast iron contains, wt % carbon 3.2-3.6; silicon 0.4-0.8; manganese 1.0-1.4, chrome 0.2-0.3, nickel 0.6-0.8; titanium 0.1-0.2, copper 2.0-2.4, cobalt 1.0-1.6, tin 0.01-0.02; strontium 0.0001-0.0002; hafnium 1.2-1.6; iron - the rest.
EFFECT: cast iron allows high-resistance to torsion at elevated temperature.
