SUBSTANCE: composition of gray cast iron can be used in transport engineering. Cast iron contains, by wt %: carbon 3.0-3.4, silicon 0.8-1.2, manganese 0.4-0.8, aluminium 0.05-0.07; copper 2.2-2.6, vanadium 0.2-0.3, hafnium 0.1-0.2, cobalt 0.6-1.0, nickel 0.6-1.0, stannum 0.001-0.003; iron - the rest.
EFFECT: increased strength of cast iron.
