FIELD: machine building, storage of gases.

SUBSTANCE: according to method for provision of high purity oxygen by means of cryogenic air distillation in installation that comprises first (1) and second (2) apparatuses for air separation, which include medium pressure column, low pressure column, which is thermally connected to medium pressure column, and mixing column, air for distillation is supplied to medium pressure column, and liquids enriched with oxygen and nitrogen are supplied from medium pressure column into low pressure column. At the first stage of apparatus operation flow of liquid is supplied to the top of mixing column, at that liquid flow is enriched with oxygen and coming from low pressure column, low purity oxygen flow is taken from top of mixing column and at least its part (3) is sent to first consuming installation (5), and second apparatus (2) supplies high purity oxygen (8) to second consuming installation (9). At the second stage of operation in the first apparatus high purity oxygen flow taken from top of mixing column is reduced, high purity oxygen flow is taken from low pressure column cube in the first apparatus and sent to at least (11) second consuming installation (9), and the second apparatus (2) does not send high purity oxygen to the second consuming installation.

EFFECT: reduced volume of high purity oxygen storage.
