FIELD: physics; computer engineering.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to computer engineering and can be used in analysing security and monitoring safety of automated systems, which are components of communication and automation systems. The outcome is achieved by that, several test parametres characterising the security of the automated system are pre-set and grouped. Each group of test parametres characterises the security of the structural element and/or functional process of the automated system. Several standard values of test parametres are given, as well as their group coefficients of importance. Each group is assigned maximum and minimum values of time intervals for measuring values of test parametres and a point in time for making a report on the security of the automated system. The value of the time interval for measuring test parametres of the group is set to maximum. A cycle of measuring values of test parametres is executed and the values are compared with standard values. If the values coincide, the analysis cycle is repeated until the time of making a report. If the values do not coincide, they are recorded and the value of the time interval for measurement is corrected. The corrected values are compared with minimum values. If the values coincide with the minimum, an alarm signal is generated on deviation of test parametres in the group from the limits of permissible values. Operation of the components of the automated system, the parametres of which deviated from the limits of permissible values, is stopped, and a report is made on the state of the automated system, in which information on the stopped components of the automated system is also included.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of evaluating security of automated systems, characterised by a large number of parametres, and cost effectiveness of the monitoring process.
