SUBSTANCE: invention concerns electroconductive composition for butt joints of consumable carbon-containing electrodes applied in electric arc furnaces. Composition includes, wt %: intercalated graphite with particle size of 100-400 mcm - 40-60, the rest is liquid glass.

EFFECT: enhanced conductivity of carbon-to-carbon threaded joints of consumable electrodes for arc furnaces at operation temperature of 2000°C and higher, reduced contact resistance at joint point, reduced specific electrode consumption in the melting process.
