FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nanotechnology and chemical industry and can be used in making polymer composite materials. First, graphite is treated with ammonium persulphate solution in sulphuric acid free of free water. Intercalated graphite is heat treated until expansion, after which expanded graphite compound is treated with gaseous ammonia, and then subjected to thermal treatment for 2 to 8 hours at temperature from 280 to 420 °C. Before treating the expanded graphite compound with ammonia, it can be evacuated or extracted from it with excess sulphuric acid by liquid sulphur dioxide. Obtained product is dispersed and washed with water until removal of sulphate and ammonium bisulphate.
EFFECT: high electrical conductivity of the polymer composite materials containing the obtained graphene material, the electroconductive properties of which are less degraded during machining.
