FIELD: medicine; cardiology and neurology.

SUBSTANCE: patient's electrocardiogram is recorded during bicycle ergometre study, and analysed by mathematical modeling of cardiointervals variability, plotting best trends: straight-line one, in heart rate (HR) increase period; and hyperbolic one, in maximal achieved HR period. The hyperbola parametres are optimised by least-squares procedure in HR stability interval. The straight line parametres are determined by least-squares procedure in HR increase interval from the stress beginning to the points, tangent to hyperbola. Instantaneous HR in tangency point of the modeled trends (straight and hyperbolic) is characteristic for the organism functional state. Instantaneous HR value between 147 and 160 beats per minute defines satisfactory functional state, less than 147 - poor state, and more than 160 - good state.

EFFECT: method widens tools assortment for functional state assessment during stress testing.
