SUBSTANCE: invention relates to unitary armor-piercing and armor-piercing-and-burning shells designed to hit surface and air lightly-armored targets. The round case accommodates a bullet with armor-piercing core and a powder charge. The proposed round features the following ratios of its parametres, i.e. m/W=1.20 to 1.43, d1/d=0.82 to 0.85, L/1=2.30 to 2.46, where m is the bullet weight, g, W is the charge chamber volume, cm3, d1 is the core diametre, mm, d is the round diametre, mm, L is the round length, mm, 1 is the bullet length, mm.
EFFECT: increased range of accurate fire due to higher specific kinetic energy of bullet nearby target.
