FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related to method for assessment of membrane filtration flow value in its stable condition required for design of new membrane filtration plant based on data of initial test. Suggested method, in which maximum of flow during stable operation of new membrane filtration plant, for which membrane module and working conditions have been set, is assessed based on measured value A of initial characteristic of membrane filtration measured with application of liquid subject to cleaning, and membranes of membrane module of new membrane filtration plant, empirical value of flow maximum during stable operation of every one of multiple existing membrane filtration plants, having the same or similar membrane modules and working conditions, and measured value B of initial characteristic of membrane filtration measured with application of liquid subject to cleaning, and membranes of membrane module of every one of existing membrane filtration plants.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to very easily assess maximum value of flow during long-term functioning in measured values of liquid flow for short-term initial period of membrane filtration.
