FIELD: mechanics; transportation.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to elevator installations. Elevator installation consists of the first elevator cage, the first counterbalance, the first pulling element, the second elevator cage, the second counterbalance, the second pulling element, and compensation element. Method consists in the fact that the first end of compensation element is attached either to one of the counterbalances being in lower position, or to one of elevator cages, which is in lower position, and the second end of compensation element is fixed in fixed position in elevator shaft.
EFFECT: providing load compensation at high level of lifting the elevator installation the shaft of which has more than one elevator cage.
