FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to elevator installation comprising, at least, one elevator cabin 12 arranged to move in shaft 13 and connected with counterweight 20 by two cables 17, 18 laid on opposite sides 24, 25 of the cabin, and cable drive pulley 21 motor-driven. Cabin 12 is suspended with suspension ratio of 1:1. Both cable runs are interconnected by compensation device 42 to compensate for non-uniform change of cable length arranged in cabin 12 and/or on counterweight 20.
EFFECT: ruling out cabin misalignment by compensating difference in tension of cable runs.
