ESTIMATE OF AUTOINTOXICATION SEVERITY IN INFANTS SUFFERING FROM PYOINFLAMMATORY DISEASES Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC G01N33/52

Abstract RU 2357254 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to diagnostic methods and can be used for estimate of autointoxication severity in infants suffering from pyoinflammatory diseases. Substance of the method consists that blood serum of infants are analysed for glycosaminoglycans (GAG) and glucuronic acid (GA) by Dichet's carbazole reaction in Sharaev's modification. If GA content is 0.36-0.384 mmol/l and GAG content is 0.98-1.21 mmol/l, moderate severity is diagnosed, GA 0.385-0.48 mmol/l and GAG 1.22-1.84 mmol/l show severe autointoxication. In case GA exceeds 0.48 mmol/l, while GAG is over 1.84 mmol/l. The most severe autointoxication syndrome is observed.

EFFECT: application of the method provides higher estimation accuracy of autointoxication syndrome severity in infants suffering from pyoinflammatory diseases.
