FIELD: mechanics.
SUBSTANCE: invention may be used in production of welded structures and semi-finished products from aluminium alloys. Replaceable finger of welded tool has one or several guide grooves on cylindrical surface along length of its working part with deviation from generatrix by angle from 10 to 45 degrees. Total area of grooves cross section is equal to 0.03-0.11 of finger cross section area. Rotation of welding tool is realised in direction opposite to angle of grooves deviation, which provides for displacement of plasticised metal along grooves from top to bottom to joint root for creation of additional pressing pressure of joint metal and its sealing along the whole volume.
EFFECT: welded joint has symmetric shape in cross section and high density of joint metal with strength equal to strength of the main metal.
