FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the field of ozone generation by means of action of impulse barrier discharge at oxygen-containing gas. Device is stated for ozone generation with the help of impulse barrier discharge comprising discharge chamber with inlet and outlet holes, inside of which high-voltage electrodes are installed, which are coated by dielectric, and grounded electrodes, at that outside casing there is source of high voltage impulses connected to electrodes, differs by the fact that via inlet hole undrained atmospheric air is supplied, which later passes through discharge gaps between high-voltage and grounded electrodes, at that source of high voltage ignites impulse barrier discharge with impulses of asymmetric shape, maximum amplitude of negative part of which exceeds maximum amplitude of its positive part at least twice.
EFFECT: increased reliability of device operation, increased yield of ozone, reduced specific power inputs, exclusion of air preparation.
