VENTILATION VALVE Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC F16K17/19 

FIELD: mechanics.

SUBSTANCE: invention deals with gas volume ventilation in tanks with less evaporable oil products during receiving and distributing operations. Ventilation valve consists of a pipe-like housing with attachment flange, horizontal lattice and protection enclosure. Horizontal lattice is represented with two rectangular framed sheets. Mounting bracket with shelves is available in valve housing. The mounting bracket is of rectangular shape with two opposite borders and hole being made in the centre of the said bracket. The hole diametre is equal to the housing diametre. The protection enclosure is implemented with ridged roof and four walls. The walls are interconnected creating rectangle in its cross section. The protection enclosure is fixed to the mounting bracket borders. The said bracket is hard-mounted in the upper part of the housing through the hole made on it. The framed edges of lattice sheets are located along two opposite sides from valve housing and fixed to the internal sides of protection enclosure walls.

EFFECT: simplified valve design, reduced weight of valve and increased valve capacity, increased rate of tank protection from lightning.
