FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to the field of propelling devices, namely to the crossbow, its trigger mechanism and the way this trigger works. Crossbow contains a body with a bow in its front part, at the ends of which is fixed the bowstring. Trigger mechanism is installed in the back of the case. At the bottom of the case there is a trigger hook and a recharge knob with a string attached to it. Trigger mechanism consists of a shutter. Shutter is made with protrusions – upper and lower. Upper projection serves to send the bullet into the guide. Lower ledge contacts the trigger, recharge handle and string. Mode of operation of the trigger mechanism of the crossbow is to move the recharging knobs with the string on its protrusions along the side slots of the body before contact with the bolt, the string is tightened and the bolt, turning around its axis counter-clockwise, is lowered by the upper ledge onto the bullet, sending it into the guide. Rotary lock keeps the trigger which, when pressed, rotates counter-clockwise, releasing the bolt from engagement with it. Turning clockwise, the bolt will release the string, which, moving along the lateral grooves, will strike the bullet in the guide.
EFFECT: crossbow is proposed.
