FIELD: physics; radio.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to radio engineering, particularly to radio-electronic systems for measuring coordinates and can be used in onboard and ground based radio-electronic tracking systems. To determine distance to a moving aircraft, parameters of its curvilinear motion are used: radius of a circle, on the arc of which the aircraft is moving relative the radio-electronic tracking system, the change of value of which is exponentially described by a correlation process, and rate of change of the solid angle of trajectory turning of the aircraft, the value of which is assumed constant.

EFFECT: more accurate measurement of distance to a moving aircraft in radiosilence mode based on using parametres of its curvilinear motion.
