FIELD: radiolocation.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in on-board and above-ground radio-electronic following systems. Essence of invention is that for distance determination up to maneuverable aircraft it is used radius of circle, by arc of which aircraft moves relative to radio-electronic following system, value changing of which is described by exponentially correlated processes; aircraft angular rate of motion relative to radio-electronic following systems, which is rate of space steering angle change of aircraft path, defined on the basis of information about spatial orientation of aircraft relative to radio-electronic following system, feeding from television system; and distance, overcame by carrier of radio-electronic following system for sampling interval, value of which is calculated on the basis of information, supplied from thermal direction-finder and off-line sensor system.
EFFECT: determination accuracy increasing of distance up to maneuverable aircraft in the silence mode of radar installation on the basis of usage of available in current mode information, supplied from television system, thermal direction-finder and off-line sensor system.
