FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: methods and systems for reducing turbocharger delay in the turbocharged engine are proposed. A boost tank connected to the engine can be charged with compressed sucked air and/or combustion exhaust gases. The pressurised charge can then be released when the accelerator pedal is pressed into inlet or outlet manifold.
EFFECT: compensation of turbocharger delay.
