FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: in composite mold whose first pair of walls has upper extended and lower vertical sections of working surface and the second pair of walls made for reciprocation, the first pair of walls is made for rotary motion. The second pair of walls additionally has inclined channels adjacent to the extreme vertical channels. In addition, sum of areas of cross-sections of Fu vertical and inclined channels in upper part of each wall of the second pair equals to sum of areas of cross-section Fl of vertical channels in lower part of walls, and ratio of distance b1 from surface of each wall of the second pair to channel equals b1/b2 = 1.5-2. For efficient cooling of metal, vertical channels in the second pair of walls are made in their central part, and additional channels adjacent to then are located at an angle of inclination corresponding to an angle of inclination of extended upper part of the first pair of walls. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 cl, 2 dwg
