FIELD: production processes.

SUBSTANCE: method of cleaning and removing magnetite-containing deposits from overhead tank of thermal power plant involves supply of the cleaning water solution heated up to increased cleaning temperature to overhead tank in order to reduce iron ions (III) into iron ions (II); at that, cleaning solution includes a semi-finished product extracting a reducing agent in cleaning conditions, and it is carried out in two steps. At the first reduction step there supplied is cleaning solution I that includes semi-finished product, and at the second complexing step immediately following the first step there supplied is the second cleaning solution II that includes a complexing agent forming together with ferrous iron ions (II) a soluble complex compound, and triethylamine.

EFFECT: method allows safe, in terms of toxicology, cleaning and removing of magnetite-containing deposits from overhead tank of thermal power plant.
