FIELD: transportation; containers.

SUBSTANCE: belt conveyer roller comprises cylindrical shell (1), bearing units including body (2), inside of which bearing (3) is installed, which is protected by ring (4) and seal (5) from outside, axis having annular grooves installed outside relative to bearings and opposite to sealing. Roller is equipped with stop mechanism consisting of ratchet wheel fixed on axis (6) and arranged with wedged slots (9). In ratchet wheel (8) plane on bearing unit body at the angle to axis of ratchet wheel rotation bushings (10) are fixed with slots (11) in the ends. In bushing holes thrust bodies (12) are installed, which are arranged in the form of balls or rollers. Annular spring (13) is installed in slots at bushing ends. Seal in bearing unit body is arranged in the form of collar or gasket of porous material impregnated with oil or oil solution.

EFFECT: increased service life of bearing units and expansion of roller functional resources due to provision of conveyer belt retention mechanism in case of its rupture.
