FIELD: heating.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the method and device of thermo chemical activation (thermal activation) of the products in production of catalysts, their carriers, adsorbers, dehydrators, ceramics, magnetic materials, inorganic pigments, solid electrolytes, pharmaceutical and cosmetic preparations, and can be used for drying/cooling loose materials in chemical, food and wood processing industries. The proposed method includes passing loose material through boiling bed, removing it by superheated steam flow and sending it for cooling. Note that thermal treatment of the said material and production of purified material are carried out in boiling bed of solid granular heat carrier without subsequent purification of finished product. To this end, granules are selected so that their chemical composition is similar or inert to that of particles to be thermally treated. Note also that boiling bed furnace makes a heat source wherein the boiling bed of solid heat carrier particles is immersed. The thermal activator comprises vertical cylindrical housing with circular boiling bed furnace and inner cylindrical housing accommodating solid heat carrier granule boiling bed. The said circular furnace includes gas-distribution grid, chamber with inlet branch pipe arranged there behind. It comprises, as well, the appliances designed to fire fuel and withdraw oxidation products via branch pipe arranged at the furnace top, loading hatch and heat carrier discharge branch pipe, and thermal pair pockets. In compliance with this invention, the said inner cylinder raises above the furnace, relative to the heat carrier boiling bed furnace, for, at least 50 diametres of grains. Note that the inner cylinder bottom part comprises the detachable gas-distribution grid, plugged branch pipe for solid heat carrier granules, branch pipe with adapter cone and flanges receiving gas mixture. The inner cylinder top part comprises expansion cone, cylindrical shell with lens compensator, branch pipe to discharge thermally treated particles with steam-gas mix and plugged hatch for load solid heat carrier granules.

EFFECT: efficient thermal activation of particles in solid heat carrier boiling bed suitable for wide range of grain sizes.
