FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the chemical and metallurgical industries. Aluminium hydroxide is discharged into hopper 2, and through belt feeder 3 and further through screw feeder 4, it is fed to thermal drying column 5, where it is dried until free moisture is removed. Stream of gases containing dry hydrate is fed to cyclone 6 where the bulk of the hydrate is separated from the stream and through flap valve 7 and ejector driver 8 is fed via a pipe into the bottom of thermal activation column 9, where the finished product, thermally activated aluminium hydrate (TAH), is obtained. In cyclone 10, the bulk of the TAH is trapped and through flap valve 11 and ejector driver 12 is fed to cooling column 13. Dusty air stream is cleaned in bag filter 18.
EFFECT: installation for heat treatment of aluminium hydroxide is characterised by stability of operation modes of equipment and consistent quality of products.
