FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electric radio engineering and, particularly, to frequency splitting devices based on open disc-shaped dielectric resonators, mainly in the centimetre range of wave length. The diplexer contains two band-pass filters each made up from hollow cylindrical metal shield 1 and 2, which are beyond cutoff shields within the operating filter frequencies. There are n and m open dielectric resonators 3 and 4 with holders installed in the above-mentioned shields, where n and m are integer numbers no less than two. First 5, second 6 and third 7 sections of the hollow rectangular waveguide are made flanged 8 at one of their ends, and flat short-circuiting wall is provided on the other end. The hollow cylindrical metal shield 1 of one band-pass filter is installed orthogonally. Its front sides are rigidly attached between the walls of first 5 and second 6 sections of hollow rectangular waveguide. The hollow cylindrical metal shield of the other band-pass filter is installed between the walls of second 6 and third 7 sections of hollow rectangular waveguide. There are holes made in the walls of sections in hollow rectangular waveguides 5, 6 and 7. The resonant frequency of resonator 3 and 4 are adjusted by changing their sizes. The communication is tuned by changing distance between the above resonant frequencies by placing end resonators 11 and 12 in holes 10 in hollow waveguide section walls 5, 6, 7.
EFFECT: proposed diplexer allows for reducing losses in frequency bandwidth.
