FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns ophthalmology and can be used for surgical treatment of a cataract in combination with corneal astigmatism. The stigmatic component is eliminated by carrying out of a non-penetrating cut of a cornea (notch) concentrically to the limbus so that the line spent through the middle of the notch and the centre of the cornea, coincides with a strong axis of astigmatism. After that a self-sealing corneal tunnel cut from the notch middle to the centre of a cornea along a strong axis of astigmatism is carried out. Cataract phacoemulsification and implantation of an elastic intraocular lens is made through a tunnel cut without its expansion.
EFFECT: reduction of corneal astigmatism in a size from 2,0 to 4,5 dioptre at the expense of more uniform cornea applanation together with cataract phacoemulsification and implantation of an elastic intraocular lens.
