FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: one triangular notch is knurled on a toric IOL before the implantation at a base of each support element, from an outer side with the use of a microsurgical scalpel. After the IOL implantation into the capsular sac and alignment, an optical portion of the IOL is brought outside of the periphery of the anterior capsulorhexis from two opposite sides so as to pinch the capsulorhexis edges in the notch.
EFFECT: method enables reducing the risk of the IOL rotation about its axis even if the capsular sac of the crystalline lens contracts strongly, providing maintaining high visual functions for a long period of time.
