SUBSTANCE: invention relates, primarily, to automotive ICE waste gas exhaust systems. The proposed cellular element is formed by alternating, primarily, smooth and at least partially shaped layers, that make fluid axial flow passage cavities. Note here that aforesaid shaped layers have turning points of their shaped structures contacting adjacent, primarily smooth layers and reverse shaped elements located in the zone of aforesaid turning points. The said reverse shaped elements extend into aforesaid cavities and feature inversed shape, in cellular element cross section and relative to turning points of shaped layer shaped structure to bring about ruptures in aforesaid turning points in the zone of reversed shaped elements. Smooth layers feature, in the zone of reversed shaped structure and/or their turning points, conjugate structures that engage, primarily, making a form closure, the shaped layer turning points and/or reversed shaped elements.
EFFECT: elimination of relative streamwise displacement of layers.
