FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a measuring probe for taking measurements in molten metal with a measuring head at the immersed end of a carrier pipe, on which is mounted at least one sensing element for determining the component of molten metal and an element in contact with the molten metal. If looking in the direction of immersion, the element in contact with the molten metal has a front area in contact with the molten metal, with oppositely lying surface areas perpendicular the direction of immersion. On these surface areas, there is iron or steel material which is stable in molten metal. At the rear area of the element in contact with the molten metal, iron or steel material, stable in molten metal, is put on at most one surface area. The oppositely lying surface area of the rear area of the element in contact with the molten metal does not have this material.
EFFECT: invention increases reliability of measuring probes.
