FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to physical chemistry, more specifically to scientific research of properties of water and aqueous solutions and their structural variations under the effect of external fields. Two indicator electrodes, across which potential is applied, are put into a solution: linearly varying potential is applied on one of the electrodes, and constant potential is applied on the other, varied from -0.7 to -0.4 V. Current comparison is done when potential across the electrodes coincide and difference between current values is determined. Proposed also is a device for realising the given method.
EFFECT: increased sensitivity, reliability and measurement efficiency of the method of differential voltammetry of aqueous solutions.
