FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: vermilion border and skin of the upper lip are cut, on the edge of the philtrum on the affected side, with bordering of the nose to the medial angle of eye. Mucosa is cut on the transitory fold of the upper jaw to the eminence of the latter. The skin-muscular mucous flap is laterally separated. The front wall of the maxillary sinus is opened. The bone edge of the pear-shaped opening is resected. The inferior and middle nasal conchae are removed. The infraorbital nerve and vessels are traced and preserved. Medial third of the bottom edge and bottom wall of the orbit are removed. The tumour is separated and removed.
EFFECT: eradication of tumour of the orbit without damaging vital structures of the orbit.
