METHOD OF SURGICAL CORRECTION OF HYPERMETROPIA AND HYPERMETROPIC ASTIGMIA ON THIN CORNEA IN CHILDREN WITH ANISOMETROPIA Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC A61F9/08

Abstract RU 2363432 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, more specifically to ophthalmology. Corneal epithelial valve is formed and ablation of the cornea is done using an excimer laser. An automatic epikeratome is used to form the epithelial valve. Ablation is then done based on refraction data in cycloplegia conditions with optical zone diametre of 7.0 mm. After fixation of the valve using a soft contact lens, magnetic stimulation and laser stimulation are done successively everyday from the first day until complete re-epithelisation, after which the contact lens is removed. In the late post-operation period, immunomodulators and tear-substituting preparations are used until complete restoration of properties of the cornea.

EFFECT: achieving high and quality vision in both eyes, as well as restoration of binocular vision in children with hypermetropia and hypermetropic astigmia with anisometropia.
