FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related to apparatuses for chemical and petrochemical industry and is intended for conversion of gases at high temperatures that exceed 1000°C. Apparatus has reaction space with inlet and outlet openings for flows of converted gases. Reaction space for generation of directional regulated flow of gas in it and prevention of circulating flow formation has extended or oblong shape with longitudinal length from the inlet opening to outlet opening. Inlet opening is arranged in the form of nozzle. Nozzle is created by external and internal pipes for gas supply, which are concentrically located relative to each other. Inlet zone of apparatus that transits into cylindrical zone creates diffuser adjacent to nozzle.

EFFECT: higher capacity during conversion of gases due to minimisation of gases contact with wall in order to reduce heat losses.
