FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: modular engineering system contains interacting controllers, each of which is connected to a group of peripheral equipment in one zone of the system, which includes sensors, actuating devices and annunciators. Controllers for all zones are universal for operation with single software, and their interface with peripheral equipment is made using interface address microprocessor-based modules with microprocessors, made with plug-and-play software configuration for dynamic individual processing of events and information while bringing it to a single software form for transfer to a controller and conversion of information, transferred to the controller in single software form, into individual commands, executed by peripheral equipment, with formation of a single address space, which provides for coordination during exchange of information between peripheral devices and interacting controllers, with provision for registration and receiving notification on defined events.
EFFECT: easier setting, more functionalities for optimum system integration on an object and interaction on extended communication lines, increased reliability of power supply due to capacity for dynamic switching of system devices to energy saving mode and back, for which the devices use electrical energy only when performing useful work, and devices which are not being used during the given time interval are switched off, and later switched when required, as well as increased reliability and accuracy of controlling actuating devices.
