FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and covers designs of brushes of electric machines operated at higher mechanical and electrical loads, for example rolling stock traction motors. Radially, every brush is separated into current-feed and plug-in elements with contact surfaces making a movable lock (dovetail or oval) to allow fixing the brush position in brush holder hole, good electric contact and replacement.
EFFECT: longer life (by 30 to 50%), depending upon design of brushes.
