NEBOZHIN-TARDOV'S METHOD OF STATE ESTIMATION OF BLOOD-FLOW IN INTERNAL JUGULAR VEINS Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC A61B8/06

Abstract RU 2365335 C2

FIELD: medicine; neurology.

SUBSTANCE: continuous measurement and registration of linear rate of a blood flow in internal jugular veins is carried out serially from both sides in three stages using the Doppler sonography method. Thus in the first stage research is carried out in a condition of rest of the patient, in the second stage functional loading assay is carried out, the patient, makes a full exhalation performing it, and then tries to make an inspiration through a nose clipped by a clip, and a mouth with densely close labiums during 15-20 sec, in the third stage the patient restores quiet breath. Similar research of a jugular vein blood flow condition of the other side is carried out in 2-3 minutes. Sizes of the measured parametres obtained in the second phase of research, are compared to the initial ones. At increase of blood flow rate around 16 cm/sec or its reduction less than 35 cm/sec and reduction of blood flow asymmetry between the sides less than 25%, blood flow condition is estimated as broken in connection with functional change of veins. At preservation of blood flow rate in a jugular vein less than 16 cm/sec or its increase more than 35 cm/sec and blood flow asymmetry between the sides more than 30%, blood flow condition is estimated as broken in connection with structural changes of veins.

EFFECT: expansion of an arsenal of agents for blood flow research in internal jugular veins.
