FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: claimed invention relates to method of obtaining polyethylene, which is cross-linked with silane. Claimed method, in which silane which contains at least one ethylene double bond is grafted on polyethylene, with obtaining of silane-cross-linked polyethylene, which after that is subjected to stage of cross-linking(vulcanising), differing in that method additionally contains following stages: a) from polyethylene, cross-linked with silane, before stage of vulcanising sample is taken; b) sample is processed into film; c) film is analysed by infrared spectroscopy; d) predefined IR-spectrum area is detected; and e) area, which is detected at stage d), is correlated with content of gel in polyethylene, after vulcanising stage using predefined regression curve.
EFFECT: development of method, which allows to estimate quality of silane-cross-linked polyethylene, before stage of vulcanising.
