FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio-electronic engineering, particularly to cooling communications electronics equipment and can be used for cooling components of communications electronics equipment, which work under periodic thermal effects. The process of cooling down and hardening molten filling material is intensified during intervals when operation of a radio component is paused using a cascade thermoelectric battery. The device for cooling communications electronics equipment consists of a thin-walled metal container, divided by metal partitions, lying in parallel to the plane of the cooled radio components, into separate compartments filled with molten filling materials with different melting points, decreasing towards the plane of the cooled radio components. The partition walls project beyond the side surfaces of the metal container and are in thermal contact with cold junctions of thermoelectric modules, which form top cascades of the cascade thermoelectric battery. Thermoelectric modules are placed on the cold junction of the lower base cascade of the cascade thermoelectric battery on edges. The central area of the lower base cascade of the cascade thermoelectric battery is in contact, through the cold junction, with the surface of the metal container, opposite the cooled radio components. The hot junction of the thermoelectric battery is connected to a radiator. The cascade thermoelectric battery is powered by a source of electrical energy.
EFFECT: lifting limits on duration of pausing operation of a radio component.
