FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns medicine, namely ophthalmosurgery. Straight hollow cannulas of diametre less than 0.5 mm are inserted into vitreal cavity. An endovitreal tool, an irrigator and an aspirating extrusion needle are inserted through the cannulas. It is followed with one-stage exchange of perfluororganic compound (PFOC) for silicone fluid (SF) by forced aspiration of PFOC from vitreal cavity under pressure. The pressure of SF is within 30-35 mm Hg, while the pressure of PFOC is within 65-70 mm Hg. The aspiration process is adjusted by a coaxial extrusion needle by periodic blocking its orifice.
EFFECT: method allows reducing time for vitreal cavity tamponade procedure.
