METHOD FOR PRODUCING OF RECTIFIED ETHANOL "ALPHA" Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC C12P7/06

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method provides wash distillate epuration in epuration column operating in hydroselection mode with a supply of lutter water to the 50th plate in amount 3.5-4.0 m3/hrs. providing volume ratio of ethanol in epurate from 15 to 20%. Epurate is fed to rectification column feed plate. Intermediate admixtures concentrated in epuration column in amount from 0.5 to 1.5% are fed from condenser to ether column operating in hydroselection mode. Alcohol vapours from rectification column after condenser and dephlegmator are replaced on the upper plate of this column. Part of the distillate in the form of unpasteurised alcohol is fed from condenser to the feed plate of the methanol column or to the 37th plate of epuration column. Rectified alcohol is bled off the 77th plate of the bleeding manifold and directed to the final purification column operating in the alcohol epuration mode. Fusel oil vapours are bled off from zone of 5, 8, 9, 10 and 11 lower plates of final purification column, concentrated and fed to the feeding plate of fusel column provided with clip-on rings; the fusel alcohol from one of the plates 30, 35, 37, 24, 16 of the rectification column bleeding manifold in amount from 1 to 2% is bled off also to the same feeding place. Water-alcohol vapours from fusel column condenser are separated to two flows, one of them in the phlegm form is returned to the upper plate of the fusel column and the another one is bled off to the feeding plate of methanol column. Uncondensed vapours are condensed in alcohol trap and condensate is directed to the upper plate of epuration column. Cut is bled off from the upper clip-on ring of fusel column and fed to the 8th plate of epuration column. Intermediate fraction is bled off from 20, 24 and 26 plates of fusel column in amount of 30-35 dl /24 hrs. and cooled. Alcohol vapours containing head admixtures and methanol from final purification column are condensed and returned in the phlegm form to the upper plate of this column. Unpasteurised alcohol from condenser in amount from 0.5 to 1.5% is directed to the feeding plate of methanol column. Ethanol cut separated from head fraction is fed to the boiling chamber of methanol column.

EFFECT: enhancing of alcohol organoleptic and physicochemical parametres due to deeper hydroselection provided with water supply in the amount improving the volatility of the admixtures condensed in the dephlegmator and in the condenser of epuration column and fed then to ether column.
