FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to electrolytic metallurgy. The method consists in anodic coating of metal surface by forming plasma micro-arcs; also at early stage of anodic coating there is formed a layer containing polymer not conducting current; this polymer transforms into a layer of gel wherein micelles of gel are oriented in correspondence with electro-magnetic field. Rupture of coating does not occur during anode coating and large pores practically do not form; while the anode layer is created by means of gel layer decomposing and by oxidising of sections of metal surface. Produced coating has composition including metal phosphate, metal oxide and metal hydro-oxide wherein metal is chosen from metals contained in metal surface; also coating additionally includes polymer.
EFFECT: increased corrosion resistance, wear resistance and reduced porosity.
